Use rubbing alcohol only to clean the finding end or the earring only (hook, stud, clip-on whatever it may be). The higher the percentage the more effective the cleaning will be. It is highly recommended that you clean all your jewelry in this fashion to prevent the spread of any germs. DO NOT place beaded ends into rubbing alcohol as it will deteriorate the thread used and may be harmful to any of the non-glass beads used in the creation of this jewelry.
